Think of your three favorite fashion brands.

  1. What category are they?

  2. How does the fashion brand company convey a brand identity (how company portrays itself) for each item?

  3. What is the brand image (how customers perceive the brand for each?

My 3 favorite brands at the moment are Hanifa, Lirika Matoshi and Brother Vellies.

  1. Hanifa is a high-end resort wear brand, Lirika Matoshi is a whimsical feminine brand and Brother Vellies is a classy shoe brand. All three brands are national/local designers.

  2. All three brands use colors and textiles in addition to social media to convey a brand identity. Each brand offers products in colors that compliment their aesthetic. Hanifa uses bright and bold colors along with prints while Lirika Matoshi uses soft pastels and light hues, along with light and cozy fabrics for her designs while Brother Vellies uses classic colors and textiles like black, brown and leather with the occasional pop of color for their shoes. All three brands use social media to emphasize their aesthetic using different backgrounds and color schemes that match their products.

  3. Hanifa has a bold and innovative high-end feel with their feminine silhouettes and bright hues. Lirkia Matoshi is a sustainable and whimsical brand with a soft girl aesthetic. Lirika Matoshi's clothes are made to order and made by hand. Brother Vellies has a chic and earthy feel to their products as they use natural and sustainable textiles to make vegan products.
